FAQ

How does it work?

You will be pleasantly surprised at how simple the concept is.  All you need to do is make a booking (either online or at the centre) for your child/children by providing some basic information on your first visit.  Once this is complete, all you do is show up, drop off the kids and go!  Booking online is recommended as a quick and convenient way to ensure that there will be a place available for your child when you need it.

My child has never been enrolled in a childcare facility – will they enjoy themselves?

Some children will experience separation anxiety and some will not. However, with the support of our warm, caring and well trained teachers, Peas in a Pod will soon become a fun place for your child/ren to learn, play and discover with other children of the same age.

Our Learning Centre is a great way to provide your child/ren with the opportunity to engage in an environment away from familiar adults (i.e. parents & caregivers), strengthening their resilience, confidence and ability to cope with change.

What is your child to staff ratio?

Peas in a Pod operate on a 1-10 ratio (i.e. 1 adult to 10 children) for children from 2 years and over, and a 1-5 ratio for children under 2 years.

What are your hours of operation?

We operate between the hours of 9am and 6pm, Monday through to Saturday, and 10am until 5pm on Sunday. Click here for more information.

How will I know my child is safe?

We pride ourselves in the level of safety we provide to your children.  Play areas have a locked door to keep the kids in and unauthorised adults out!  Children are released only after parents or authorised pick-up persons show a picture ID – and we will ask for this at each and every visit, even after we get to know you.  It’s our policy and we follow it without question.

Also, all staff are CPR and First Aid certified with completed background checks.  Many of them have years of childcare experience in many different ways and some simply just love spending time playing with kids.

What do I need to bring for my child?

If you are not already registered with us, all you will need to bring in a manual copy of your child’s birth certificate and an immunisation certificate (if applicable).

Peas in a Pod do not change nappies, however in case of emergencies nappies can be purchased at reception if required.

What age group do you cater for?

We cater for preschool, children from 6 months to 7 years (please see terms & conditions).
